Assistants
See which assistants exist on this machine and choose which one answers by default.
Ajustes > Assistentes (Settings > Assistants) has two halves: the catalogue of assistants Elyra knows about and the preferences for running each of them.
The catalogue
The catalogue lists the known assistants and the state of each one on this machine.
- Open Ajustes > Assistentes.
- See the list of known assistants with the detected state.
- Use procurar novamente to redo detection — useful after installing or removing an assistant outside the app.
A known catalogue does not mean an installed executable. Elyra knows several assistants; it only uses the one that is present. Read the detected state of the row, not the presence of the name in the list.
The same holds on the command line:
elyra agents list --json- The
idcolumn is what--agent <id>accepts in other commands. - With the app running, each row says instalado or não instalado.
- Without the app reachable, each row says
unverified— which means “not verified”, never “absent”. The command still succeeds. - The alias
elyra agent list, in the singular, resolves to the same command.
The default assistant
You can leave the choice on Automático or pin a specific assistant.
- Automático lets the app decide according to what is available.
- A chosen assistant becomes the default for new conversations.
If the default assistant leaves the PATH or is disabled, the choice falls back to Automático. The
app does not keep pointing at something that does not exist.
Enabling, disabling and overriding the command
Per assistant, you can:
- enable or disable the assistant;
- replace the startup command;
- replace arguments;
- set environment variables for the run.
The app persists run options — it does not install the providers’ executables. Choosing an assistant does not bring it to your machine; you install the assistant through the provider’s own channel.
Several controls touched at the same time go through a write queue, so that one toggle does not overwrite the other.
Be careful with what you type here
Arguments and environment variables can contain secrets. Two precautions:
- Never publish real values — not in an example, not in a screenshot, not in a report.
- A saved preference is not proof of presence. That the assistant is chosen does not mean the executable exists on the machine.
Result
- You know which assistants are present on this machine.
- The default for new conversations follows your choice, or falls back to Automático when it stops applying.
- An assistant’s command, arguments and environment reflect what you configured.
Limits
- The detected state is a snapshot. It changes when the environment changes; use procurar novamente after touching the machine.
