Pointing and sending to the agent
Point at a page element and ask for the change in natural language, and send a selected passage to the agent.
Two ways to take something from the page to an agent: point at an element and ask for the change, or select a passage and send it.
Point and ask
Point-and-ask lives in the Browser’s toolbar, next to the screen’s other controls — it does not depend on the automatic app preview, which is off. It is a surface of its own.
How it works
- Use the point button in the Browser toolbar.
- The app enters capture mode: the instruction strip asks you to click the part of the page you want to change.
- Each clicked point enters a queue — you can point at several before sending.
- In the request field, describe what you want changed.
- Send. The app assembles a prompt with the pointing — including a crop of the pointed element — and delivers it to the chosen session.
What to know before using it
- Sending requires a chosen destination. Without a destination, the app returns a notice that the destination is missing, instead of guessing the session.
- Sending depends on a ready session. With no agent open to receive, a notice appears.
- The queue allows batch sending: several points in a single request.
- The button only exists when the feature is on. It comes on by default, but it is an option that can be turned off — without it, the button disappears and the engine stays in place.
- Point-and-ask is not the app preview. They are distinct surfaces: one points at what is already open on the page; the other would turn on your project by itself, and is off.
Send a selected passage
Another, more direct path to take text from the page to the agent:
- Select the text on the page.
- Open the page’s context menu and choose the send-to-agent option. It only appears when there is a selection.
- Choose the destination — a conversation or a terminal.
- Confirm the send.
What goes along: the selected text and the page URL.
What to know before using it
- With no assistant open, the app warns that there is no destination — it does not pick one for you.
- The page content may be sensitive. You are sending the passage into an agent, which will process it as context. Check what is selected before confirming.
