Declaring an agent's delivery
End the wakes of your terminal when the work has really finished — and know when not to declare.
There is a state in which an agent has finished the work, but keeps being woken as if it still owed something. The delivery declaration exists to end that.
The command
elyra wake delivered --text "o que foi entregue"It is run in the terminal that delivered and does two things: it records what was delivered and interrupts the wakes of that terminal.
The text is mandatory and cannot be empty. The reason is direct: a boolean is easy to lie about, a delivery report is not. Whoever has merely promised to do it does not yet have anything to write here.
Checking the state
elyra wake statusIt answers whether this terminal has already declared the delivery, and with what text — or that nothing was recorded.
When not to declare
- When you have only taken on the commitment. Declaring before delivering silences the pending-work notice, and the pending item goes on existing — with nobody remembering it.
- When part of the work is still in progress. The declaration is about what finished.
- On behalf of another terminal. The declaration applies to whoever runs it; there is no way to declare another agent’s delivery.
What reopens the pending item
New work invalidates the declaration. A message from the person or a task from the coordinator returns the terminal to the wake queue. This is intentional: delivery is not retirement — it is the end of a cycle.
Scope and limits
- There is no explicit undo. To go back to receiving wakes, the path is to receive new work.
- The declaration is per terminal. Two terminals with the same role do not share the declaration.
