**Ajustes > Atalhos** (Settings > Shortcuts) lists the app's keyboard shortcuts and lets you change them.

## Finding a shortcut

There are two paths:

- **Search by command** — type the name of the action you want to run.
- **Search by key** — type the combination, to find out what it already does.

When nothing matches what you typed, the screen says so instead of showing an empty list with no
explanation.

## Filtering

Four filters narrow the list:

| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| **All** | The complete list |
| **Changed** | Only what you already changed |
| **Without keys** | Commands left with no combination |
| **In conflict** | Commands fighting over the same combination |

**A conflict is a state of its own.** Two commands with the same combination are not "the same": they fight
over the same key, and the filter exists so you can find that fight.

## Editing a shortcut

1. Find the command in the list.
2. Use the row's edit control.
3. Provide the new combination.
4. Check whether the result landed in **In conflict** — if it did, resolve it before moving on.

## Other blocks in the section

- **Number shortcuts** — defines what the number combinations reach: **everything**, **tabs only** or
  **cards only**.
- **In the terminal** — defines **who gets the key first**: Elyra or the terminal. It is the decision that
keeps an app shortcut from stealing a key the program inside the terminal needs.
- **Shortcuts file** — the file where persisted combinations live.

## Combinations differ per system

**Labels and combinations differ between macOS, Windows and Linux**, and the screen shows the combination
for **your** system. Two consequences:

- **Never expect to see `Cmd` on Windows or Linux.** The equivalent exists with the system's key.
- **Combinations captured by the operating system may never reach the app.** If a shortcut seems not to
work, the system may be consuming the key first.

## Result

- The chosen combinations take effect and are persisted.
- The **Changed** filter starts showing what you touched.
- The who-gets-the-key-first policy applies to the terminal.

## Limits

- **The shortcuts file is a storage detail.** Editing the file by hand is not the recommended path; the
  screen exists for that.
